Experience in California

I was cited for going 106 on the freeway? I have been told that if I am found guilty I will have my drivers license suspended? Is this true?

The answer is YES. In California if the court finds you guilty of going in excess of 100 mph then the court has the power to immediately suspend your drivers license for 30 days. The judge will order the bailiff to seize your drivers license and the DMV will be notified of the suspension. If you drive during that period of time you will face serious misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license which can result in a jail sentence.

You should immediately retain an experienced traffic ticket defense attorney from Wallin and Klarich who can help you. In many cases we are able to negotiate with the police officer at the time of trial to have your offense reduced so that you do not lose your driving privilege. In other cases we have been able to have the charges dropped entirely
